David Allen’s GTD|The RoadMap Seminar - June 23rd

In March our topic for the month covered David Allen’s Getting Things Done. In the meeting we covered the basics of the GTD methodology and how you could use your Palm to practice GTD methods. During the meeting we also mentioned that David Allen would be holding his GTD|The RoadMap seminar in Atlanta during the summer, June 23rd to be exact. As part of their generosity, Getting Things Done offered the Nashville Palm Users Group members a discount of 10% off of the cost of the seminar.

Well that generosity has grown! We’ve just received another e-mail with another offer. If you would like to attend the GTD|The RoadMap seminar in Atlanta on June 23rd you can now save 20%, that’s right 20% off the cost of the seminar. But wait, there’s more-if you register 30 days prior to the seminar there is a $50 early bird saving too!

Our “prize pimp” Randy Jones will be attending the seminar and will register on Monday May 22nd so that he can save the maximum amount using the discounts offered. If we can get a group to attend (2 or more) we may be able to use an additional discount. If you are interested in attending and want to receive the deep discounts that are being offered, please respond to this post or contact Randy at randy@npug.org and he’ll contact you with more details.

If you can’t respond before the early bird registration deadline (May 22nd) you can still save the 20% through June 10th, again just contact Randy at randy@npug.org for more details.

Randy,

Can you give a breakdown on what the cost of the seminar is and how much it’ll be after the discounts?

The cost for the GTD|The RoadMap seminar is as follows:

Cost without Group discount
Individual cost $595
Early Bird registration (by May 22nd) $545
NPUG discount ( 20% ) $436

Cost with Group discount
Individual cost $595
Group discount (2-4 people) $525
Early Bird registration (by May 22nd) $475
NPUG discount ( 20% ) $380

Obviously, if someone registers after the May 22nd date the Early Bird registration would not be in effect and the cost would be $476 and $420 respectively.

While this is a healthy amount of money to pay for a seminar I’m told it’s very much worth it. Not only that but my contact at GTD mentioned meeting after the seminar to discuss how GTD could be implemented on the Palm. How cool would that be to work with them and share ideas on how to use your Palm and GTD!

Thanks Randy. Ok, another question. Smile

Do we register online at the link in your post, or do we go through you? I’m just curious when the discounts are applied?

If we register as a group it has to be paid on one invoice at one time, otherwise you can register online.

If you are interested in registering after the Early Bird time (May 23) or if we can’t get enough for a group and want to use the discount code contact me and I’ll pass that along. I didn’t just want to blindly post the code out there for anyone, this was a special code for NPUG members.

Remember, I will be registering very soon and if we can get a group (2-4, so we only need one more!) then we will benefit from an additional discount. Please respond to this post if you are interested.

Well, I’m very interested, but I was thinking I could put this on my credit card, not have cash in hand. Does that put a wrinkle in things?
