Fossil Palm OS Watch Only $79!

Normally we’d post this in our Device Deals & Price Cuts Forum, but this deal is just too good and we thought everyone would want to know about it.

Thanks to a posting on Portable Essentials, we’ve learned that the Fossil Palm OS watch is on sale at TigerDirect.com for only $79!

This watch normally sells for $150, so if you’ve ever toyed with the idea of getting a Palm OS watch, or if you’re in the market for an inexpensive Palm OS device, this is a great deal.

I read on BargainPDA.com this morning that Fossil is exiting the PDA business. Apparently sales didn’t meet their expectations. That’s too bad. I haven’t read much about the MSN SPOT watches lately, either. Seems people mainly want their watch to do time functions, like what time is it now, how long did my run take, how much time left until the parking meter expires, etc., instead of bringing in news, weather, sports, or carrying around your contacts and appointments and allowing you to use your favorite PalmOS programs. Even the old Timex data watch seems to have faded away.

I found an interesting write-up over on the Make Magazine site about the Fossil PDA watch and things you can do with it. If you’re thinking about the watch, you need to check out this article.
