Meeting Summary

As much as we all love our Palm OS devices, there comes a time when you wish that your device had “just this one” feature. This month Randy Jones is going to show us a truckload of applications that can help us get more usefulness and functionality out of our PDAs. Palm may have forgotten to include an app or two, but thanks to the Palm OS Developer Community, you can fill those small gaps and supercharge your Palm!

And let’s not forget those door prizes! Randy aka “The NPUG Prize Pimp” has put together enough giveaways this month that everyone in attendance should walk away with a giveaway. So if you want to see how to get more functionality out of your Palm and get some free software in the process, then you want to be sure to attend this month’s meeting.

Agenda

1. Welcome & Announcements
After welcoming everyone to the meeting, we give a quick update on what’s new with the user group. This include membership, web site updates, where our geocache bug tracker is, etc.

2. What’s Happening In Palm OS
Each month we cover everything that’s happened over the past month with Palm OS. We discuss the handhelds, new cool software and what to look for in the future.

3. Things That Palm Forgot
As much as we all love our Palm OS devices, there comes a time when you wish that your device had “just this one” feature. Maybe you wish you had a different way to access your applications, or perhaps you desire a better way to work with moving files back and forth between your desktop and your PDA, or maybe, just maybe, you wish that you had just a little more memory. Well the good news is that there are a TON of cool add-on and accessories that you can use to make your Palm OS device work the way YOU want it to work.

This month Randy Jones is going to show us a truckload of applications that can help us get more usefulness and functionality out of our PDAs. Palm may have forgotten to include an app or two, but thanks to the Palm OS Developer Community, you can fill those small gaps and supercharge your Palm!

4. General Discussion and Q&A
With the time remaining, we open up the floor for general discussion and answer any questions you may have.

5. Giveaways
At the end of the meeting we have a random drawing for door prizes donated by our Sponsors. This month we’ll be giving away the following:

6. After The Meeting
This is a new feature we’ve started this year and it looks to be quite popular! For one-hour following the end of the meeting, Palm OS experts will be on hand to address any specific questions you may have, or troubleshoot any technical support issues. It’s one-on-one time where you can get the answers to just about any Palm OS issue.
