Meeting Summary

One of the things that makes our Palm OS devices so handy is that we have the information we need right at our fingertips. From spreadsheets to family photos our PDAs make sure that our data is right where we need it - in the palm of our hands. And when we find that we have a little time on our hands, what better way to spend that time than by reading a book?

This month, the Nashville Palm Users Group is pleased to have Kerry Woo from eReader.com as this month’s guest speaker. eReader is the market leader in eBooks and he will be sharing with us everything you ever wanted to know about eBooks. In addition, we’re going to “kick it up a notch” and not only cover the basic of eBooks, but also how to create your own eBooks with eBook Studio!

At what would an NPUG meeting be without giveaways? This month we’ll be giving away over 26 giveaways totaling over $500! So even if you just have a passing interest in eBooks, this is a meeting you won’t want to miss.

Kerry will cover all the basics about eBooks, such as what they are and where to get them, including how to get free eBooks. He’ll walk you through how easy it is to read an eBook on your Palm and show us that not only can you read them on your Palm, but on your computer as well!

Then we’ll “kick things up a notch” and show you how to create your own eBook. Think you don’t need to create an eBook? Think again! With eBook Studio, you can turn your next annual report or presentation into an easy to beam eBook for all the handheld users in your office. Make just about any document you have into a portable eBook that will allow you to share it with anyone. Take eBooks to the next level!
