Leadership Council

There is a lot that goes into running the Nashville Palm Users Group and believe it or not, it’s not a one man job. It takes the efforts of many people to bring together a meeting each month. The dedicated individuals that make it all happen are members of the NPUG Leadership Council. Listed below are the members of the 2004 NPUG Leadership Council.

Charlie Akers is an attorney who retired after 26 years with the State of Tennessee. His practice there ranged from the legislature to environmental regulation to employment and housing discrimination. He’s now working as a computer consultant with Legal Tech Services, Inc., based in Germantown, Tennessee. He works primarily with small to mid-size law firms but also does some consulting for accounting and public relations firms.

Randy Jones

Randy Jones is a Director of Compensation at Comdata. The primary purpose of the position is to insure fair and equitable pay pratices within the company. He’s been a long time supporter of Palm devices. The number of devices has run the gambit from Palm to Handspring to Sony and now a Tapwave Zodiac. He’s also a charter member of NPUG.

Mike Rohde is involved in various Palm community mailing lists, writes a personal weblog on technology, and is founder and editor emeritus of the Palm Tipsheet e-zine. Mike is also a founding member of the Palm OS User Council, an advisory board created in 2000 by PalmSource, Inc..

Steve moved to Nashville after being voted “Best Country Male Vocalist” in Southern California (1995).
